That one hurt a little. Tough course! Good times as always though! |

Spent the entire race doing battle with "The Twins". Gave them the "what for" in the sprint for a 4th place. |

Good start again but fell away from the lead group early. Bumpy ground and back hurt, but not a bad finish in a strong field. Had a blast! |

Tuff start to the day, crashed hard during warm up.....rolled my (Riedel's) front tuby on an off camber dirt-rocky descent, hit my head and ribs very hard and had to change bikes on the starting line. HapPy, hApPy - JoY, jOy! I had a really good start up the Soapbox Derby hill, took the lead briefly. I messed myself up a couple of times on the first lap. The first time losing many positions at the second road crossing and the second time I got tangled going up the single track climb trying to be too aggressive trying to make up lost my first set of lost positions. I settled into a good rhythm catching J.D and other riders here and there before catching Dr. Pete and I was able to get on his wheel going up the start-finish hill. The two of us past a couple of riders and I was able to get a round Dr. Pete later in the lap. Pete would gain on me in some areas and I was able to pull away in other sections on the course. With three laps to go my lower back was acting up and Dr. Pete was clean in my draft going up the start-finish line hill and there was nothing I could do to shake him. At the top of the climb Dr. Pete is by and not much I could do to stay with him. I final laps I tried to stretch my back and drink as I could knowing I did not have much more to go until the finish. Considering the way I felt at the start of the race I will take a well earned 9th place finish and dream of what could have been tonight. I think I road well with my head and rips throbbing. Well done Katie winning the Elite Women's race, Tony with a very hard fought 3rd place in the Elite Men's race, Blair finishing 4th in our race and Duncan, Noah and Brooks with strong finishes in the C race. WELL DONE EVERYONE! Now on to the two days of Dublin State Championships next weekend! |

Missed 14th by a turn. A kid went down a couple turns before the big hill finish and I got stuck behind him while Hardman breezed on by. A tough course but a really fun one! |

Super stoked for the TRUE Cap City race. Spent the first lap on the front and the send on lap holding on to Katsu's wheel. Slipped in a corner and Rudy got me. The next lap around I pinch flatted. I run to the put to get my tubbie and lost some spots. I got back on my bike and noticed it was also flat. The next time around the start/finish I called it quits. First, and hopefully only, DNF of 2011. |
