Despite the devil and a bad bearing (Mavic Kysrium), I finished the race and placed 13th. We were about 12 minutes out of the laps and about 35 seconds behind the leader when I had to stop. The front wheel was squeaking like Spanky's wagon (Our Gange) and I had to drop out. I picked up another wheel and headed out again. I've never used a free lap on a crit, that's pretty cool.

I like the course, but I wanted to see what the Cat 123 races are like. I'll need to train a lot smarter ( if you can call what I've been doing training).
Other things I learned:
1) The better racers don't waste energy cornering
2) They attack quickly and for a prolonged period of time
3) If you don't have the fitness for it, don't try to chase down the leaders with a hill in the course (I asked for that one)
4) If you tell someone you're dying, don't put in a good sprint, it's like crying wolfe.
5) $27 is too much for that kind of whipping, it should be free for the asking.

What am I whining about? I don't know, I had fun.
